The first MINIFEST

The first MINIFEST marks the recapitulation of not just one successful season at MINI TEATER but a cross-section of wishes, ambitions and artistic achievements implemented here in the last few years. From the monologue The Night Just Before the Forests, which started our post-drama program, to our recent performance Bartleby, the Scrivener, the constants lie in researching the unknown or less known crucial places, authors and also aesthetics. From a ‘company’ of one-actor and one director, we have grown to a recognized theatre which won the national prize for the best performance. And last year, we represented Slovenia for the first time in the International Theatre Olympics in Seul. We performed on tour from Moscow to Ankara, from Kairo to Havana. The crown of our international activities lies however in the invitation to present our performance Macbeth after Shakespeare in New York in the end of this year.

Authors like Bernard-Marie Koltès, Heiner Mueller, Marguerite Duras, Ingmar Bergman, J. D. Salinger, Herman Melville…, directors like Ivica Buljan, Janez Pipan, Robert Waltl, Miloš Lolić…, actors like Jurij Souček, Robert Waltl, Marko Mandić, Milena Zupančič, Igor Samobor, Jožica Avbelj, Janja Majzelj, Polona Juh, Brane Završan, Pia Zemljič, Jure Henigman, Anže Zevnik, Domen Valič, Stipe Kostanić, Jose, Jurij Drevenšek, Senka Bulić, Polona Vetrih, Sandi Pavlin, Janez Starina, Klemen Novak, Tadej Pišek; composers like Mitja Vrhovnik Smrekar in Aldo Kumar, plastic artists like son:DA, Slaven Tolj, Ana Savić Gecan…, technicians and memebers of Mini teater – we are all kindly inviting you to our first MINIFEST!
