Cult Snow white directed by exceptional Czech director Marek Bečka who has already thrilled Mini teater's audience with Puss in Boots and The wishing table.

About the performance

The story of Snow White comes to life as a whitty, live and sarcastic comment on the actual state of the world but maintains all the vital fairytale motives that are the red line of this performance.

Fairytale heroes of this performance are not set in the magical surroundings of the enchanted forest, poisoned apples, idyllic nature and supernatural kisses. This time the modern fairytale situations are set in the dark mining town, where - with the help of modern accessories - they also point out the ecological crisis and uncontrolled pollution of the environment. But of course, the evil stepmother, magical mirror, mischievous likable elves and the savior will not be missing even in this Snow White.

About the director

Czech director and puppeteer Marek Bečka was born in 1964 in Plzen, he graduated at the Theatre Academy in Prague (DAMU). In his rich career he acted at the DRAK Theatre in Hradec Kralowe and later as a freelance artists. He created a number of street performances and puppet performances for the youngest spectators and had previously already amazed everyone in Mini teater with two incredible puppet shows Puss in Boots and The Whishing Table.

In his adaptation of original texsts Bečka preserves basic play lines while with bold approaches forming a unique sharpness of humour and expressing real and current image of the world at the same time. The author of this unique reeinerpretation of the cult fairytale Snow White of the Grimm brothers is also the co-founder of the puppet theatre Buchty a loutky in Prague.
