THREE WONDERFUL EVENINGS
IN MINI TEATER AT KRIŽEVNIŠKI 1!
In February, March and April in Mini teater at Križevniška 1 three wonderful evenings await! First one this Friday, next at the beginning of March and the third one in the middle of April.
FEBRUARY – LITERARY EVENING OF DANILO KIŠ AND RADKO POLIČ – RAC
In Mini teater the preparations are taking place of what we believe will be two very important literary evenings. First one, this Friday, FEBRUARY 22nd 2013 at 8pm will be dedicated to great DANILO KIŠ. The anthology of French erotic poetry BROTHEL OF MUSES in selection and translation by Danilo Kiš will be presented by actor RADKO POLIČ RAC. The title Brothel of Muses Danilo Kiš overtook from the collection of French poet Claude le Petit who was at the age of 24burned at the stakes in Paris in 1662. He was convicted for poetry and verbally abusing the Cardinal Mazarin.
IN MARCH – BRAZILIAN MUSICAL EXPRESSIONS
Following the great excitement at the end of December 2012 when Mini teater’s hall was simply too small for all that wanted to be a part of it, Sunday, MARCH 3rd at 8pm at Mini teater’s stage at Križevniška 1 music group BOSSA DE NOVO is returning. The only Slovenian group that performs Brazilian musical rhythms and expressions. An evening of jazz, always new music trends, boss nova, mixture of Afro-Brazilian musical traditions, samba and cool jazz from the west American coast. Enigmatic in all aspects asymmetrical music in different languages, especially taken for granted mostly unknown Portuguese with harmonics and unpredictable percussions of top Slovenian instrumentalist and composers and some enlightened boss novo absolutists: PRIMOŽ VITEZ, MITJA VRHOVNIK SMREKAR, ALJOŠA KOSOR and MARKO GREGORIČ.
IN APRIL “BOUNTY HOUNTER” of SVETLANA MAKAROVIČ AND ZVEZDANA NOVAKOVIĆ
Friday, APRIL 12th at 8pm in Mini teater at Križevniška 1 we are preparing a literary-musical evening of SVETLANA MAKAROVIČ and vocalist ZVEZDANA NOVAKOVIĆ called BOUNTY HUNTER. In the evening with harp the verses of Svetlana Makarovič’s poetry will velvet with two ancient sounds – the sound of the vocal and the sound of the archaic strings from throat and fingers of a young vocalist and musician Zvezdana Novaković.
