It is the story of a young girl who survives the war in hiding, and comes back after the war to confront the villagers. Why did some hide her and some did not? Why did some collaborate with the Nazis and others did not? What was the role of the local priest? THE RIGHTEOUS is one of the best films produced in Poland in the last few years.
