A dark comedy Fire Birds takes place in Israel when an eighty-year-old man is found dead in the Yarkon River, with an Auschwitz tattoo on his arm. Detective Amnon, who happens to be the son of two Holocaust survivors, is asked to investigate. As Amnon explores how Amikam, the victim, spent his final days he finds out, that he tired to acquire a ‘membership card’ to Tel Aviv’s most exclusive club. A club which happens to be owned by two widowed Holocaust survivors Zisy and Olga.
