On Thursday, June 5, Mini teater took part in the 12th World Festival of Puppet Art - Prague 2008. The Festival that takes place from June 1st to June 8th 2008 has joined numerous groups and theatres from the entire world. This year, this competition festival has been organised by the WAP World Association of Puppeteers) and the International Institute of Marionette Art. Performances take place on three main locations. The Story of the Tsar Saltan as the only performance representing Slovenia was performed for the Czech audience in the old puppet theatre on Karlova ulica 22. Interesting for this year festival was also the film puppetry programme prepared mainly by the colleagues form U.S.A. The Festival is a competition event, so theatres compete for different theatre awards – best animation, best actor/actress, best director, best set design, best visual concept, most original performance, best performance as a whole, and awards for a puppetry film.
