Jackie on Croatian tour

JACKIE ON CROATIAN TOUR

On Saturday, March 7, the performance Jackie written by the Austrian Nobel Prize winner Elfriede Jelinek was performed on the small stage (Mala scena) of the Histrian National Theatre in Pula, Croatia. The performance was created in co-production of Mini teater Ljubljana and Novo kazalište Zagreb. It deals with the deconstruction of one of the greatest myths in western society - Jacqueline 'Jackie' Lee Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. The Histrian audience and the professional public accepted the performance excellently. The performance was directed by Ivica Buljan as the fourth part in the cycle The Drama of the Princesses’ Drama where Elfriede Jelinek – as a pendant to Shakespeare's cycle about the kings – brings to life the fate of a woman through famous female personalities. The main actors in this play are the actress Senka Bulić and the dancer Matija Ferlin.

On March 13 and 14, the performance Jackie was performed within the regular programme of the Zagreb Youth Theatre (Zagrebačko kazalište mladih – Zekaem).
