A renewed hit of Mini teater with over 200 re-runs in Slovenia and abroad, now under direction of Robert Waltl and starring Tadej Pišek. A story about a Princess who lost her golden ball and a Frog who finds the ball in puddle and brings it back to the Princess. But in return for the golden ball, the Frog demands the Princess' love. The story deals with the ever-present demand for compromise. The message dedicated to all young princesses points out the possibility of looking at things from a different point of view. Kri Kra Kro

Saturday, June 28th2014 at 6 p.m.

Location: Mini teater, Križevniška 1

Performance created by Teatro Paraíso together with Théâtre de la Guimbarde from Belgium has been performed at several festivals and programming from Belgium, France, Italy, Ireland and Germany. Kri Kra Kro recreates a delicate universe where life is expressed through the beauty of some pictures and the warmth of actors’play. It shows the journey of two characters through an unknown space with plenty of images and sounds. This journey is inspired by the curious spirit that pushes the youngest spectators to discover real life. Kri Kra Krois a theatre metaphor that shows images as a part of a game, as a possibility to explore and enjoy the world, not just to contemplate it. This creation is also an emotional and subtle encounter with Art, a suggestive experience that we want to share with young spectators. The show has received two young audiovisual students as “interns”, through a training internship given by KREA- CONTEMPORARY EXPRESSION.

Snow White

Winning award after award

Sunday, July 6th 2014 at 6 p.m.

Location: Mini teater's hall at Ljubljana Castle

Fairytale heroes of this Snow White are not set in the magical surroundings of the enchanted forest, poisoned apples, idyllic nature and supernatural kisses. This time the modern fairytale situations are set in the dark mining town, where – with the help of modern accessories – they also point out the ecological crisis and uncontrolled pollution of the environment. But of course, the evil stepmother, magical mirror, mischievous likable elves and the savior will not be missing even in this Snow White. Winner of numerous awards directed by Marek Bečka who in Mini teater also directed Puss in Boots, The Wishing Table and Brave Molly.

One of the most popular Slovenian fairy tales with a universal message that we can with kindness and good, pure thought and love overcome evil.   There is a star in the sky that puts children to sleep, leads sailors over the seas and helps the poet find the right rhymes. She has gold long hair and is called Sleepy Star. But because she is often late for work she causes confusion on Earth. The children are crying, the sailors can’t find their ways, the poet does not find the rhyme to the word pot.
