Counterlight is a surrealist journey into the life of one of the greatest poets of the post-modernistic era Paul Celan, through the eyes of a female archival researcher. She looks through archival material in order to reconstruct the past in which he lived. This is where the lines of past and present become blurred as the archivist enters the world of photos and other documents from Celan’s life. Counterlight is a deeper look into Celan’s creative process as well as many female figures in his life.

The movie will be followed by reading of poems of Aleš Šteger.
