Movie tells a story of Jan and Antonina Zabinski, a young couple who own the Warsaw Zoo in 1939, in the shadow of the looming German invasion of Poland. To keep the zoo afloat, Jan and Antonina come up with a plan to transform it into a hog farm to feed the German soldiers. When bringing garbage from ghettos to feed the animals, the Zabrinski's smuggle Jews to their sanctuary, where they're safe until they find a safe house. Alltogether, Jan and Antonina are able to hide 300 Jews from the constant threat of the Nazi regime in nearly plain sight.
