Adapted to film by Lynn Roth (The Little Traitor) from Asher Kravitz’s award-winning novel, Shepherd: The Story of a Jewish Dog is a family drama about the unbreakable bond between a boy and his dog. After the enactment of the Nuremberg laws, Kaleb, a German Shepherd, is taken from his Jewish family and adopted by an SS officer who trains him to round up Jewish prisoners. When his former owner, Joshua, arrives at the camp, Kaleb’s loyalty to him remains unwavering. Together, the pair escape the camp and embark on a perilous journey to freedom. Warning: scenes in a Concentration Camp.
