Little Stranger is a dance-theatre film, focused on the experience of a solitary migrant child. It is shot on location in and around a town in Northern Ireland, where families from all over the world have settled. The multi-cultural performers are members of two local youth dance groups, Sutemos and Suteminis. They have roots in Poland, Lithuania, East Timor, Portugal and Northern Ireland. The little stranger of the title is represented by a faceless paper doll, who is found on a railway line and given refuge and protection by her new friends.
