In 1942 during the darkest times of human history, a miracle happened at the most unexpected of places. While millions of Jews in Europe were already being sent to the death camps of the Nazis, a handful of people in tiny Bulgaria stood up against Hitler... And succeeded. Owing to the decisiveness and the bravery of few individuals Bulgaria's Jews were not only saved, but their population at the end of the war increased. A true story of ordinary people who did extraordinary acts. About freedom, love, ultimate sacrifice... And the saving of 49,172 Jews from the Holocaust.
