Vita Mavrič is a renowned and award-winning chansonnier, who has been performing and touring with her own projects at home and abroad for 35 years. Her songs are the stories of the common man, while her voice, interpretation and drama take us on a walk to other times and places, or leave us here and now, reflecting on the hardships of modern man. Her project Almond and Raisin is a collection of happy and sad Jewish Klezmer chansons. It is a selection from a multitude of historical and eternal songs that have had a significant influence on the development of European musical creativity. Careful translations by Klemen Jelinčič and new compositions by Milan Dekleva, as well as rich musical arrangements, are combined on the CD Almond and Raisin, which was released in December 2006 and premiered in the sold-out Linhart Hall of Cankarjev dom. The audience's response was overwhelming!

The Quartet Akord, consisting of Klemen Bračko on violin, Matjaž Brežnik on guitar, Aleš Praznik on accordion and Marjan Šešek on double bass, is an extremely interesting group of instrumentalists, offering a rich and varied programme. Their repertoire consists of romances, ballads and spirited dances from the musical heritage of Prekmurje in Slovenia, Hungary, Romania and Russia. The quartet also performs Argentinean tango (mainly works by Ástor Piazzola), and Jewish (Klezmer) music, which currently holds a special place in their programme. The Quartet Akord has given many solo concerts and participated in the most prestigious events and festivals.
