Guest performance KRIK: THE FIRST VOICE by Reaktor Company on November 12 at Mini teater

The author's project KRIK: FIRST VOICE problematises the topic of child sexual abuse, bringing it to the forefront of social discourse through performance as an artistic gesture. It seeks to break the silence and detabulise the treatment of victims of sexual violence. Statistics show that on average, one in five people has experienced at least some form of sexual harassment, most of which occurs in the family environment or at the hands of people we trust. Legal protection for individuals is still minimal, and the public dialogue on sexual violence is also being pushed into the background. The show therefore takes an exploratory approach to the subject, questioning civilisational and ethical patterns and seeking to destigmatise victims of sexual abuse. It encourages reflection on neglected topics and introduces them into public discourse.

The event consists of two parts; a performance that explores issues of abuse through theatre form, and a conversation with experts that responds to the issues raised.

The performance is part of the research theatre project KRIK, led by the REAKTOR collective.
