On Monday, 11/11/2024, the 10th edition of the House of Tolerance 2024 - House of Others festival ended with the documentary performance INFINITE ARCHIVE #1 Unstoppable, a guest performance of the Domino production, Zvonimir Dobrovic from Zagreb.
This year's festival, which offered a free film programme to the public, gave the audience the opportunity to see some of the most engaging documentaries, features and shorts of recent production, focusing on tolerance, culture of remembrance, human rights, the relationship between the individual and the state, social engagement, as well as topical and important issues such as the problems of war and media propaganda. The festival screened more than 15 films from the USA, Germany, Poland, Austria, Romania, Hungary, the Netherlands, Australia, the Czech Republic, Israel, etc. The festival was attended by the director and producer of the film Putin´s Playground, Konrad Szołajski and Malgorzata Prociak from Poland, the Austrian pianist Gerhard Gruber, who accompanied the silent film City without Jews, the screenwriter of the film Anne, Adi Eshman from the USA, and the director of the film Unbroken, Beth Lane from the USA.
A very important part of the festival was, as every year, a special programme for primary and secondary schools - the Educational Morning programme. This year, the young audience had the opportunity to experience a Virtual Tour of Auschwitz - Auschwitz before your eyes. It is a live virtual guided tour that takes place directly at the authentic memorial site. After the tour, discussions on the topics of the Holocaust, human rights and tolerance took place.
During the festival, visitors could watch the theatre performance Shopping and Fucking at the Pioneer House in Ljubljana and the puppet show Little Vampire Goes to School at the Mini teater. During the festival, the audience could also see the permanent exhibition Holocaust in Ljubljana.
In 2024, the festival was supported by the Municipality of Ljubljana - Department of Culture, the Embassy of the United States of America, the Embassy of Germany, the Embassy of Poland, the Austrian Cultural Forum Ljubljana, the Embassy of Romania, the Liszt Institute - Hungarian Cultural Centre Ljubljana and the Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands.
