The opening of the Lehrhaus will be marked by an evening conversation and open discussion devoted to the question of how personal testimonies of the Holocaust are transmitted or “translated” today—through language, art, performance, and literature.
Dr. Rebecca Rose is a philosopher and educator whose work lies at the intersection of philosophy, ethics, Jewish thought, and the arts. She is particularly known for leading discussion-based seminars that emphasize participation, exchange, and critical engagement rather than formal lecturing. Her approach invites participants to question assumptions, consider alternative viewpoints, and think deeply and independently.
