MINI TEATER in the festival ZLATI LEV in Umag and Novigrad in Croatia

On the Croatian Adriatic coast they organised a festival of chamber performances called ZLATI LEV (Golden Lion); four Slovene theatres are taking part in this festival. MINI TEATER will be represented by two performances: The Wonderful Adventures of the Apprentice Hlapich (performed twice: in Slovene and Croatian language; produced by Mini teater, directed by Ivica Buljan, performed by Robert Waltl), and The Day of Murders in the Story of Hamlet (produced by Mini teater, directed by Ivica Buljan). Other performances from Slovenia: Petit Bourgeois Wedding (Prešeren Theatre Kranj, directed by Vito Taufer); Kaspar (SMG, directed by Jaka Ivanc); Fatsies in Skirts (SNG Maribor, directed by M. Strelec). The Festival is promoting the motto 'city of angels'; it will include 16 performances altogether:  from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, and Serbia&Montenegro. Damir Zlatar Frey is the art leader of this traditional Croatian Festival. A professional jury will select and award the best performance, yet also the spectators will have the chance to select a performance they like most. This year, for the first time the festival will include also two performances for children: The Wonderful Adventures of the Apprentice Hlapich in Slovene and Croatian version, and Thousand and One Night produced by the Croatian National Theatre.

On July 15, Mini teater will take part in the festival The Days of Slovenian Culture in Novigrad - the performance The Wonderful Adventures of the Apprentice Hlapich will bring joy to the children on vacation in this seaside resort where so many Slovenes decide to spend their holidays every year.
