Quartet in the festival Karantena in Dubrovnik

On Friday, August 25, 2006 the 10th Festival of Performing Arts - KARANTENA started in the Lazareti of Dubrovnik. The solemn opening night of this jubilee Festival (that will close on September 5) took place in the Theatre Marin Drzic with MINI TEATER  from Ljubljana and the performance Quartet, a post-modern drama written by Heiner Mueller, directed by Ivica Buljan and played by Ana Karic and Robert Waltl. This international multi-media festival presents different performing arts: from theatre, modern dance, performance and music up to new media such as film and television. This year it takes place for the last time in such a form. However, the organiser, ARL Dubrovnik (Art Radionica Lazareti Dubrovnik), and their leader Slaven Tolj promise a different form of festival for the next year.
