Award for best directing to Robert Waltl at he ASSITEJ Festival of Professional Theatres in Croatia

Robert Waltl, puppeteer, director and art director at MINI TEATER, won the award as best director for directing the performance Kolbaba and Telegraph Man written by Nina Mitrović.

The performance was presented at the 9th Festival of Croatian Professional Theatres for Children (ASSITEJ) that took place in Čakovec last week.

It was created after the story written by Karel Čapek, it was produced by the Children Theatre from Osijek and the City Theatre Virovitica. The award for the best costume design was given to Ana Savić Gecan.

The opening night of the performance took place in July 2006 within the festival ‘The Osijek Year of Culture’ in Osijek where it gained an extraordinary response from the critics as well as from the audience.
